Staff Training Activities
The project includes 4 short-term training activities, each of them for a total of 6 visiting VET teachers of industrial-relate studies from the partners organizations with the aim to gain a hands-on experience and further understanding about how the hosting schools and companies are developing the recommendations along the previous phases of this project.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the training activites planned in Denmark, Estonia and Germany along 2020, will be online and postponed to 2021.
Short-term joint staff training events in Barcelona, Spain
2nd to 6th of March 2020
The first training activity took place between 2nd and 6th of March in Barcelona, where a total of 5 VET teachers from Westerburg, Viborg and Tartu got to know how the Spanish VET system works, visited the main industrial VET schools in Barcelona, and met key representatives of industrial companies leading the way to overcome gender imbalances, as well as social initiatives to foster industrial vocations among girls and boys.

Online, 22nd to 24th of March 2021
Between the 22nd and 24th of March we have organised the first virtual activity for staff hosted by our colleagues from Mercantec (Viborg, Denmark) attended by 6 VET teachers from Barcelona, Tartu and Westerburg.
The programme of activities included a virtual visit to Mercantec’s facilities, highlighting a virtual tour around the innovative Data Centre and Automotive department of the school; presentation of the key good practices both in Viborg and Denmark (see Manual of Good Practices on Industry, VET & Gender); introduction on the Danish VET system and the industrial sector in Viborg; the digitalisation strategy of Mercantec’s and a session on hackschooling. A total of 10 speakers were invited to share their knowledge and experiences on the project topics.
